RARE Vintage 1970s Customised Marc Bolan T.Rex Satin Bomber Jacket Glam Rock

Fabulous vintage 1970s satin bomber jacket from the archives of the T. Rex & Marc Bolan fan club director. Ruby red satin style fabric cusom sequinned with 'MARC' across the chest. There are so many special details- the 'Marc' script on the bomber is a nod to his iconic pink satin shirt, the back text is a replica of Marc's signature (and self portrait!!), while the diamond motif references his legendary harlequin suit from Granny Takes A Trip. These pieces were super fan customised and originally worn to conventions, discos and fan meet ups in the 1970s. One of a kind piece of fashion and music history!!

The jacket was made  by 'Fruit Fly'. Made using acetate and features a gold shiny piping. Cut with slanted sleeves, high neckline and features contrast black ribbing.

Note: the customisations were done imperfectly- there is a pen mark on the front from pre planning, the thread can be seen on the underside, there are imperfections generally. This does not detract- I love to see the history!
