Vintage 1970s Antonio Guiseppe Waistband Patchwork Recycled Denim Armadillo Flares
Vintage 1970s Antonio Guiseppe Waistband Patchwork Recycled Denim Armadillo Flares
Show stopping holy grail vintage 1970s denim flares by Antonio Guiseppe. An LA based brand from the 70s created by designer Philip Havice, AG produced couture quality unisex denim pieces. The company used recycled denim to create works of art, and these flares were made by ingeniously using waistband scraps from the studio to create the 'Armadillo Pant'. Cut with a high waistband, flattering slanted panels and a large bellbottom flare. I love how artfully each piece of recycled denim has been placed- you can see history in each panel! Features a bandana print cotton lining from the knee. Some of the very best denim on the planet.
In unworn, deadstock condition. Overlocked hem to be tailored to fit, but we love them worn full length with some stacks.
Labelled size 30, but these jeans are cut narrow on the hip/ leg so please refer to measurements and size up. Measurements taken lying flat. Keep in mind that the denim is layered, so allow room for this.
Shown unpinned on uk 6-8 (the jeans have a little room around the waist, but I'd still wear them!) I’d say these would best fit modern UK women's size 8-10 approx, Men's XS.
